Had a customer asking about ePMP1000 with sync. Wanted to know if they needed to reverse polarity with them to use a GigE-SS surge suppressor. (?!?)
I am under the impression that this unit uses all 8 wires for data. Otherwise it could not go faster than 100 mbps. I looked through all the cambium docs but didn’t find one showing the pinout. I presume it is a normal GigE type of powering scheme. Anyone know for sure? I know I have a unit kicking around that I could reverse engineer but would prefer to just find a cambium document showing the pinout and powering of the ethernet jack.
