Nope - no reason at all you can’t use that. I really like the trick some cell companies are using with cables that have hollow center conductors (like https://www.tessco.com/products/displayProductInfo.do?sku=372986&eventPage=1 <https://www.tessco.com/products/displayProductInfo.do?sku=372986&eventPage=1>). There are kits to feed power onto the inner and outer copper and then drop fiber down the center tube. Instant well protected fiber and power up the tower.
