Nope - no reason at all you can’t use that. 

I really like the trick some cell companies are using with cables that have 
hollow center conductors (like

   There are kits to feed power onto the inner and outer copper and then drop 
fiber down the center tube.   Instant well protected fiber and power up the 
tower.
