I'm having some strange issues with a RB951G, Signal is strong, but it
has random drops, and high latency. I thought it was just dodgy drivers
on my laptop, but now other people at the house are complaining (Parents
house, I left, but siblings are still there, Parents have no WIFI
devices, so it only noticeable when they have company). I didn't see
another AP on the same channel. It is however, right next to the
Comcast Modem that is broadcasting the 'XfinityWIFI' SSID. Which is on
a different channel. Could the fact that they are within a foot of each
other matter even though they're on different channels? I don't have an
easy way to get physical distance between the 2 units, and don't have
the login to be able to disable the Comcast AP yet. The Symptoms are
that you can see the AP Name listed in available networks, but you have
to try to connect 2 or 3 times before it successfully connects. Then
once it connects, latency is around 150-200ms and has random packet loss .
