Hola mi amigos,

I have a couple of issues I was wondering if somebody could help me with.

I have a couple of beasts... Juniper MX960s to be exact. I need to
power these bad boys with an appropriate power solution with backup
power + generator at our NOC, along with other gear (Calix E7-2,
several VM hosts, Juniper EX4500, etc). The datacenter side where the
edge router is has been taken care of (or will be) by the power system
there, but designing a power system for the other one at our NOC is
going to take some pretty beefy stuff.

Each Juniper MX960 will come with the High Capacity power supplies,
with each power supply having 2 power cables. Each power cable needs
it's own 200-240V, 15A circuit, so 4 of these connections at our NOC
(two on each power supply). Each power supply feed handles 1700W,
although Juniper for some reason says 1700W + 1700W = 4100W per
supply... IDK, that's what it says numerous times. So 8200W (max) per
chassis in this configuration, which is 4 individual 15A circuits.
Obviously our system will use less than that because of a somewhat
minimal amount of cards installed - without adding up each card (which
I will do later), I'm going to guess we'd be maybe pushing ~3500W max.

>From a generator and UPS system perspective, do you have any gear /
vendor you would use to power such a beast in a cost conscious manner?

Final note: "Maximum AC inrush current 76 A (38 A per feed at 264 VAC)"

Thanks guys.
