Separate physical servers (or VMs on separate servers) ? Looking at resource issues vs. overall benefit plus Total Cost of Ownership, including licenses and support costs, etc. We have a simple SBS on a VM that uses 20GB of RAM. With SBS gone away, its back to the old days, with separate "boxes" for everything. Sigh. Something like Zentyal might be worth considering if it works well in the real world. I have grown accustom to MS servers, even though they can be a resource hog. I use Touchdown client with my Android phone and “if just works” I don’t want to do a cloud based replacement per se. Not comfortable with my entire business email system, etc. being out in the world. Soooo…. What have you guys moved to for an Exchange type alternative? Paul Paul McCall, Pres.
