That's exactly the thing. Try typing a bunch of *nix CLI stuff with the on screen keyboard where you have to flip to different views for numbers and different symbols. It gets old fast.

Yea, it's not too bad, and clears up the whole screen. I've used it to get into our FreeBSD boxes and fix stuff numerous times. Had to clean up a spammer that hit our mail server a couple of years ago, and worked great. Better than the on screen keyboard, that's for sure.

I picked up a small inexpensive one like this, and have been
pretty happy with it so far:

Definitely something you get used to over time.

If you're using it for RDP, or anything that needs
serious typing, I would just order a bluetooth
                keyboard for around $25.

The Boss got a new Note 5 yesterday. How do yall
live with on screen keyboards? I tried using it
for like 10 minutes and got too frustrated. 80%
miss-type, and losing 3/4 of the screen anytime
you need to type something (RDP Is almost
completely impossible). Am I just too old to use
this technology? Maybe using it now and then over
the coming weeks things will get better, but right
now it's STRANGE and DIFFERENT and I DON'T LIKE IT.
