When I met with some communications officials from Vietnam, they said one of
the problems they had with the Chinese products was they could get in 10
network cards, all on the same MAC address which cause havoc with their
switches. They actually had to keep track of that and check before plugging
stuff in.

I do not find that surprising at all. China steals everything. They keep North
Korea afloat to make their version of communism ("state capitalism") look
innocent.

Half of me hopes Trump does get elected and sticks it to them. And then I come
back to reality and remember that even a billionaire can be bought.

Oh wow. If you check out the online verification (100% original it says) at

Ubiquit MAC.

It is crazy to me that anyone would buy a knock-off Ubiquiti when you look at
the price point of the official gear.

Seems associated with Lanbowan. Their web site could use a bit of work; could
be an option for people doing outside wifi-protocol deployments, but of course
reliabilty / quality / availability / compatibility / support is still to be
determined. The radios say TDMA freature but I don't know how well that's
implemented or efficient.
