The Calix rep I met last month showed me the NG-PON2 information. Very cool.
Definitely something I would use when I am able to purchase at Qnty. At the moment though I can still do 10Gbps per subscriber FDX with standard SFP+ gear for relatively cheap. But I like the consolidation factor and scale-ability of this GPON standard! Huawei and a few others have XGPON. It's kind of a dead end. NG-PON2 is the hot shit, as its capable of 10-40Gbps. Calix has gear they are developing for NG-PON2, ad well as Adtran and I believe ALU.
