I have used it a lot in the past... good system overall. The web interfaces to it could be updated and stuff but it's a pretty versatile and feature rich system. It's also priced quite nicely in the market they compete in ...
Overall I like their system... I prefer to build mail systems but there are many times where putting something like Surgemail into place is appealing too .... depends on features and scaling - the largest Surge systems out there are around 80k mailboxes I've heard (from the company that makes Surge). Anything getting into 100k + mailboxes I would custom build anyways for numerous great reasons.
