On the two I saw, one I replaced myself and noticed it while I was on the customer's roof, but it was after I had taken it off, and it was somewhat loose, so I wasn't sure if it was originally there or if it had fallen off and somehow managed to re-stick itself, the other one I didn't see until another tech brought it back to me, so it was kind of questionable as well... but in hindsight, I think they did come that way from the factory.
We've had enough rain and various forms of wet crud coming out of the sky here that it should've killed them all by now...
