That is a whole other dimension. There were hard feelings between Mike and some of the WISPA founders.
One of the original WISPA guys was unhappy because Mike didn’t give him that big copper coin you are supposed to get as part of part15. I remember WISPA guys trying cause Mike grief over his so called not for profit status and the purchase of an emergency part15 motor home. Lots of soap opera there. And then there was the lawsuit between ISPCON and WISPCON... I was trying to give the Reader's Digest version... I think Daniel posted something more about it elsewhere... bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 3/1/2016 4:23 AM, Jeff Broadwick - Lists wrote: There was a WHOLE LOT more to it than that Bill. It's a long and rather ugly story. The great part is, out of the Part-15 ashes, we got WISPA! I sent him several offlist emails asking about it. Nothing. Pretty sure he went somewhere and came back after a weekend or something. I don’t know how long part-15 kept going after that. I felt bad about it but I didn’t do it as a coup. Not sure if Michael ever believed that. Folks were contacting me wondering the same things we I gave folks a place to hang out. Quite ironic that the server crashed the day that Bullet (Bullit?) wrote the "I QUIT!" message. Kind of a strange twist of fate I guess. bp <part15sbs{at}gmail{dot}com> On 2/29/2016 11:10 AM, Chuck McCown wrote: Mike Anderson. One day he got mad and sent a note “I OUIT!!!” to the list. He was pissed because someone posted a Trango question on the Canopy list or something like that. Then, part 15 quit working. It stayed down all day. That evening I was fielding lots of questions about whether or not part 15 was done for good. We set up a listserv and told everyone about it and everyone ended up here. Michael realized a day or two later that his server had crashed ( I think he may have went on a short vacation or something). By then everyone was chatting over here. (We did take a rather odd detour through WISPA for a while, but they decided they then owned the list and we got it out of there).
