Jay, 4.5 mile, AF5 23db dishes, -56, 30mhz, 8x, 50/50 split, 133mbit/133mbit.
6.5 miles, 30db ubnt dish with RF armor, -50, 20mhz, 8x, 75/25 split, 138mbit/35mbit. not fully aware of 'real world speeds' but mikrotik's btest does 130/130 udp / 100/100 tcp over the 4.5 mile link. If you have not seen this guide it appears to be accurate. https://community.ubnt.com/t5/airFiber/AF5X-useful-info-power-sensitivity-to-achieve-certain-modulation/m-p/1222992#U1222992 Joe On Tue, Mar 1, 2016 at 11:03 AM, CBB - Jay Fuller <par...@cyberbroadband.net > wrote: > > so i'm probably about to throw one of these bad boys up. what speeds do i > get at 8x? > since apparently i'd be dreaming at 10x... lol > > > ----- Original Message ----- > *From:* Joe Novak <jno...@lrcomm.com> > *To:* af@afmug.com > *Sent:* Tuesday, March 01, 2016 10:16 AM > *Subject:* [AFMUG] AF5X and 10x modulation > > instead of derailing the af24 thread any further... > > what conditions do I need to hit to make the af5x play at 10x?
