Completely unrelated to the 13.4.1 stuff above, I was just trying to find
an email you had sent so I could reply to it.
I am working on a PMP design for a customer (NDA material right now, but
something you'll want to brag about when it's done, given where it's going
to be), that will use connectorized 450i APs and SMs. The catch is that all
of the equipment will be mounted on portable buildings that get
re-positioned every year, and thus the use of any sector-type antennas will
not be an acceptable part of the design. Playing with LinkPlanner, for the
PMP products I find it only supports certain Cambium antennas, all of which
are directional. In this specific situation, I really need to use
omnidirectional antennas on all of these portable buildings. Fortunately we
are not talking great distances between any of the edge buildings and the
building where the APs will be located, maybe max distance of 2000ft.
I'm actually off to a meeting with the customer right now, and will have
more details later today.... I'll see if they'll let me share who they are
with you as well.
