I don't know what's special about the 5775 SMs, but we have a bunch and 
they work fine on 5750APs. If by 5700AP you mean a non-Advantage 5.7 AP, 
it should register since the 5775s appear to be standard 7Mb SMs. 
Advantage SM to non-Advantage AP is a no-go. Anything will connect to an 
Advantage AP. Remember back in the days of the Lite SMs, you had to have 
an Advantage AP. We never bought any Lite SMs nor any non-Advantage APs.
