I think Zhone was basically created through acquisition, I remember when
they bought Paradyne which had been divested by AT&T. Zhone was started by
the guy who sold Ascend to Lucent. Also Texas Pacific Group was in there
somewhere. So they should be no strangers to M&A.
Unless they are unprofitable and the new owners intend to cut their way to
profitability.
