Anyone ever found anything that’ll do heatmapping for under $500? Every
solution I’ve found that does so effectively is upwards of a grand.

It ships with a 12" extension cable. Hasn't been a problem so far.

The software features there look cool and all, but to me it looks like a
guaranteed "fuck, we bent it and broke the thing off in the Lightning port"
problem that will destroy the spectrum analyzer and the ipad/iphone. The whole
fat dongle just hangs out of the lightning port?

Our outside plant techs have been using WiPry spectrum analyzers with their
iPhones with great success. They love them.

They now have a dualband WiPry that will be available end of June, but the
price is steep at $500. https://www.oscium.com/spectrum-analyzers/wipry-5x

Is anyone out there using something similar to this for quick and dirty
analysis at the customer premise that they could share?
