I had an EPMP AP, 1 out of 4 on a tower, go AWOL Yesterday. Upon closer inspection, it had reset to default configuration, and had gotten a DHCP IP Address. Numerous powercycles did not change anything. Main and backup firmware images are 2.6.1.

This is where the weirdness is....

I have a default configuration file that I load on all AP's, going into the field, it sets a generic SSID, and unit name, as well as security and QOS settings. I loaded this file onto the defaulted radio, and rebooted it. After the reboot, it had magically recovered all its original RF settings, SSID/Frequency/sector Reuse, but all other unit settings, IP Address/name/snmp were from my default file.

I can understand losing the config due to some memory issue (not that it should have happened), but not magically restoring half of it when different info is in the restore file.
