Kurt I agree with you. I think epmp and ubnt both have their place and work
well in a lot of situations but i have come to love 100 and 450 stuff so much i
just rarely use anything else. When we install a 450 customer we know what we
are going to get and we never go back. Just works great. Cost more but happy
customers and less truck rolls makes me sleep easier at night. Plus i still
have 70% of my network on pmp100 yet making great money now for 10 years. Is
it normal to have 70% of your network with 10 year old ubnt gear (dont remember
when they came out with their first cpe gear)? How many times have you
replaced that equipment? Whats your roi on that?

I'm not deploying any 802.11 anything chipset except on really small
micro-sites. 90% of all towers get 450 rollouts. I'm just using the UBNT in the
spots i need to do a little extra to get the signal to the customer, like put a
micro repeater on a neighbors house. Tried doing it with EPMP and hated it. In
my experience the only thing ePMP has over UBNT is sync and if you have that
many customers on a tower that you need to sectorize then you can afford the
450 anyway. Just my 2 cents.

Do it and you'll appreciate it. Bunch of us have tried the Mikrotik/Ubnt/etc
