I think the NTSB thing was very much time compressed and probably not quite as adversarial. I do remember the left engine issue and the bird parts they recovered from it proving it was not operational. I think I did not dig in as much as they portrayed. If so I think there would have been much more damage. I always visualized that he greased it in. He was a sailplane pilot.
