Slightly offtopic...

There was a small group of us awhile back that wanted to explore creating
extensions to an existing protocol or creating a new protocol to better
handle traffic flow on wireless networks.

My idea was to add extensions to, or use external services to: monitor
latency, jitter, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization and then modify
OSPF. I remember Fasil having some interesting comments on this.

Looks like Facebook did the same thing, but with BGP.

I still think the idea is worth expanding on.
