How you gonna stop someone from collecting addresses? Some of you have AFMUG only email accounts so you know a spammer got it here.
I think public shaming would be appropriate.... we are really good at that here. I don’t have an issue if my distributors use this list to spam you on an infrequent basis. You all know them and they all know you so should not be a big issue either way. I have not even been spamming the list with my stuff. I should but I am the laziest marketer on the planet. We do have swap meet Friday that does have official sanction. Chuck certainly can do that as this is his list. I pay Amazon service fees and gladly manage the list for Free, but even I don't use the email list for marketing. Chuck has allowed vendors that have been loyal to him over the years to post advertisements, and that seems the more acceptable way to reach people on the list. If you notice, a lot of people have a specific email address for this list (and/or others) for a reason. They know when you are spamming them, and that usually doesn’t earn the vendor a positive perception.
