LOL !.. Not trying top you.. will share one from real life..
In Arabic the common word for thief is "haramy" in Urdu, my native tongue that word mean "Bastard". so when my family first moved to Sudan, the house lady saw me sneak into the kitchen and get some junk food.. so she kidding-ly called me "haramy' .."haramy' in soft voice.. My Mother heard that, and boy she was upset !.... Why is this lady calling my son a 'Bastard' (calling someone this in my native language is a very big insult).... It took a bit of time sort this one out too ! :) Faisal Imtiaz Snappy Internet & Telecom 7266 SW 48 Street Miami, FL 33155 Tel: 305 663 5518 x 232 Help-desk: (305)663-5518 Option 2 or Email: [email protected] > From: "Chuck McCown" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, December 23, 2016 12:10:35 AM > Subject: [AFMUG] OT Confusing expressions > My kids said thanks for some candy. > I said “no hay de que” and my kids heard “No, IDK” > They looked confused.
