Since 844E is not available from retail, I am guessing you can ask your source for the latest firmware (11.1.130 or 11.2.6<- some nicer wifi features).
Also, 844E has a WAP mode too, so you can have one 844E router and several 844E WAPs. I know from the product manager of the 800 series that they will have at some point a feature where the WAPs can mesh, if there is no wired connection to one of them.
