It's kind of an interesting idea to use one of these instead of a HEX POE, and have the wireless there for emergency backup purposes, but the wireless is going to be pretty much useless for backup to ePMP or UBNT AC (can't switch ePMP to wifi mode without access to the SMs, and UBNT AC doesn't support non-airmax APs, as far as I know), so I can't see myself ever using it. For the difference in cost, I can buy a nice little enclosure that will outlast a couple generations of mikrotik routers, and I get a faster CPE with the HEX POE.
The HEX POE, however, is a thing of beauty - I can finally start using 48v for everything without having to deal with voltage converters.
