hey Sam, just noticed i missed this message the other day. we have three 450m APs on one tower and two on another, all are using the 5.4 band. we are still in the process of moving clients to the 450m's but so far i'm extremely impressed with the performance. it's also really nice to have the extra 50Mhz of clean spectrum in the TWDR (5600-5650mhz) section of the band (we are more than 150 miles and 2 mountain ranges from the nearest TWDR stations).
one word of caution with the 5.4 band is that i wouldn't try to use it past 4 miles, maybe out to 5 if you are right down the center of the AP but that is stretching it and you won't get much more than 2x or maybe 4x. if you are within 4 miles you should get mostly 6x and 8x links. -sean On Thu, Feb 2, 2017 at 4:44 PM, Sam Lambie <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Sean, since the 15.0.2.1 firmware release, have you had a chance to > hang the 450m yet?
