we usually put in LSI cards, better compatibility with vmware I couldnt tell you a model, we normally look at the vmware compatibility list to decide that at time of purchase Thats not a terrible way to pick one though, in the event you choose to virtualize down the road, just verify the card is compatible with the motherboard
