I saw it after you tagged me. I just don’t want to be on multiple places. That is why I don’t monitor any of the WISPA stuff either. Just too many things/places to read and too few minutes in the day.
The complaint I saw was that someone lost a port on a switch that was connected to a GIGE-APE surge protector. The idea is that the protector shorted out the POE on the switch and killed it. Well, what are surge protectors supposed to do? Short impulses to ground.... All POE switches I have ever seen will survive a tech cutting the cat5 and shorting all the pins.
