It has been a good show for me. I am out of catalogs all ready. I do think that members ought to be able to view the content after a certain amount of time has passed, but I am not really a full paying wispa member. I get my membership in trade for bring the AnimalFarm content and following.

I am very grateful that Wispa has helped to keep AnimalFarm alive. I would be totally OK if my stuff was made freely available but not really my call to make.

Why the heck should a member of WISPA be required to pay and ADDITIONAL
$100 to see presentations of a meeting that should be part of WISPA
membership. I hear they have record attendance. Should be record
PROFITS. Attendance at something like this is very dear time to a lot
of members at this time of year. We are just recovering from winter
this time of year with most of our signups happening now, and going to
one of these conferences isn't going to be in the cards. And I can't
watch the presentations and have to wait mucho months to even get the
card deck? BS

The WISPApalooza 2016 slide decks were put up without even requiring a

They should at least be streaming and then put the presentations
    online for $100 per member.

As someone who has written 60 articles and never having been paid
a dime for my content, yes, I believe that WISPA as an
organization is better served by eliminating this policy. I do
it because I felt that the more information out there, the better
we are as an industry (yes, I still keep some information
proprietary). As a vendor, Id be furious as most of the
speakers have recommendations or experience with specific
products that they want to get out publicly.

If this is the policy going forward, I definitely wont be
speaking at any future events (Im sure many people will probably
be happy at that) unless Im getting paid (fat chance of that,
Im sure), and probably wont even be going. There are so many
other places that the same information can be gleaned, vendor
forums, AFMUG email lists, Facebook, etc that I believe this
position of WISPA is simply a huge mistake. But hey, the vendors
are writing most of the checks so Id be curious to ask what they
    think? ____

Yeah... It seems like most of the membership does. And as a
previous, and potentially future presenter, I have an issue with
it. Unless WISPA is going to pay me, I am not OK with them
claiming the copyright to my presentation and prohibiting folks
from recording it. I am presenting for the good of the community.
