That tells you if you drop below 16 volts at the power supply, there will not be enough current to power the radio. That assumes the radio can operate on a voltage that low. With a 54 volt supply you are golden.
In my initial case, the wire to the equipment is 100 ohms. Power is 6 watts. I need to give it about 50 volts to make it work.
