Also, I don't have control over the web site, so that makes it a bit more difficult for me to do things there. :-p
Does anyone have any CMSes, WordPress plugins (I think the current site is WordPress), etc. that would be social media platform independent? The problem with traditional WordPress is that stuff is just dumped chronologically. There's no easy forced segmentation of the content. You can tag it differently, but that isn't quite as simple. In my ISP and in my IX I use HootSuite to distribute content to multiple platforms. I think the IX's WordPress also posts to FB\Twitter whenever a post is made. I'm all about trying to get the group to do something else if the something else is worth the effort involved, AKA people actually use it. ----- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions Midwest Internet Exchange The Brothers WISP ----- Original Message ----- From: "Josh Reynolds" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2017 8:36:58 AM Subject: Re: [AFMUG] ubnt AF5/AF24 team... I agree 100%. That said, can you guys use Twitter, or your own forum, the blog, etc instead of Facebook? I understand getting views, but that's a terrible platform for anything even remotely professional. - Josh On May 24, 2017 7:54 AM, "Mike Hammett" < [email protected] > wrote: https://www.facebook.com/thebrotherswisp/posts/1217082078417242 ----- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions Midwest Internet Exchange The Brothers WISP From: "Josh Reynolds" < [email protected] > To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2017 12:00:27 AM Subject: Re: [AFMUG] ubnt AF5/AF24 team... Because UBNT believes (I didn't say "executes", I said "believes") in strong multi-product integration... aka their monitoring system(s). It drives me nuts as well.
