So if you have a DSLR you're planning on taking pictures with, consider
joining the project I linked to.

What they're hoping for is to get around 1000 (or more) people to upload
their picture set to be able to make a very high resolution movie of the
solar eclipse across the entire north america segment.   In addition, the
pictures will become part of a publicly available set for future solar
research.
