Absolutely not worth the money but some of the active noise canceling headsets
are amazing, particularly the aviation ones. This thing is amazing:

Yeah, I’m the dork wearing it while cutting the lawn. Can barely hear the
engine on the mower and the bluetooth music is fantastic.

Oh, and it works great in the airplane too.

I was freaked out as fist, given a blackout on a tower last month, that I was
prepping out for a stroke.
Turns out its probably tinnitus, not looking forward to this, at all. Id
rather do a stroke and croak.
fans are really bad, really really really freaking bad.
I laid a brick sidewalk a few years ago, fought the city to save it, I lost
the one on the north side of the house, fired the city concrete crew on the
west side and put my brick sidewalk back in. this thing is a thing of beauty, 8
inches compacted road rock on top of 4 inches compacted lime, smoooooooth,
flat, wonderful. literally a freaking road, but I had to stop cutting the edge
fillers because even with ear plugs in ear muffs the sound of the tile saw made
me sick.
I cant even run a circular saw very long
  Now I know why.
  Wear your fucking ear protection
  seriously
  it matters
  I shoulda
