With the cost of a shop, trained technicians, their time, parts and
shipping, I don't think it'd be possible to do "average difficulty"
electronic repairs (e.g. identifying and replacing damaged surface-mount
components) in the US for less than $50-80USD per item even at scale. So
for cheaper MT radios might as well just buy new ones.
