Probably old firmware on the nanostations, security guys never update, and
never know what not checking the wds box on the wireless tab can freak out

So I went over to check it out...the panel is AE1000...connect via RS-232
cable to USR RS 232 to Ethernet converter.. That is connected to
Nanostation. At office Nanostation connects to router. I connected my
laptop and scanned network...found USR device and checked out settings.
copied those down. went to PC with Access Base 2000 program and ran the
USR VCom program....no link....ran the software and it found device, it
mapped Com port 2. The system is set at 115,000 kbps. left all those
settings alone until I read manual ....I just read rs232 is only 38.4 so
that is one change I will make tomorrow after they get me all the passwords.
A couple of Maxstream RS-232 wireless radios would have been my choice....I
ran several billboards at TISD with them....I will try to make it work with
what they have....more tomorrow...thanks for tips
