I, along with most of my family watched the event on the big TV in our
family room. My brother, only 9 years old at that time, had snuck
downstairs with our father's Super-8 movie camera and a tripod. He set that
up in front of the TV down there and turned our the lights. He recorded the
event while the rest of us just watched it! I think he still has the
Super-8 movie to this day.
