Ordered a couple AHx4's today. We'll see. -/+48 support and dual AC does look pretty cool. I would still prefer something like that with an SFP slot or two. The CCR1009-PC's are OK, but 35 watts at a smaller site is kinda much. OTOH, the 1100AHx4 is 25W max, but buys you a few more ports. It's nice not to need a switch for a site with 8, 10, 12 radios.

What I would LOVE to see is a CCR-whatever with 16x SFPs in two switch groups and 4x SFP/SFP+ with direct CPU lanes. Copper modules, fiber modules, whatever I need at a site. Dual AC and -/+48 too. I'd probably put that at every single site that it would fit.

We have 3 ahx2 left on the shelf, so soon we will need more, thats what we will get, i dont see anything being all that different aside from the processor beef. Ive been overall satisfued with the ahx2 so i doubt there will be much complaint, its a 300 dollar router, i dont expect my alero to to perform like a porche, but it gets me to work. I got a new saying today about an encloser we cleaned up, could apply here toi, she aint the prettiest horse in the parade, but shell pull the cart

Woulda been nice if they stuck at least one SFP or SFP/SFP+ slot
on it. Obviously they were trying to use the same 1100 form-factor
    and case though.

My friend Tom Smyth has one.

Ether11-13 was always funky in one way or another on the AHx2s.

I'm still waiting for the AHx4 without the Dude crap. I don't
need my router to have extra SATA ports, an SSD, etc.

Anybody using this yet? Is it stable? Will it run
        6.38.7/bugfix or does
        it require current or RC?

Had two AHx2's die last night. Did have two NIB spares that
        I've been
sitting on for over a year. One of them, apparently the fans
        don't work
at all and ether13 is funky, but that's typically my
        SiteMonitor base
port, and it does work at 10/half, just takes about 10
        seconds to link
up. That one is in a temp controlled shack as well, so good nuf.
