I wish my oldest one would die....lol
Maybe I should give it away....
Still watch a lot of Netflix on it
Making my way through Star Trek Enterprise (again) in my basement late at
night....

Lots of reviews say it's horrible. I don't remember it being that horrible. In
fact...it isn't that horrible. Halfway through season two currently...

I think it really depends
on the size, but 1080p to 4K is not as noticeable as a jump as SD
=> HD, although it seems logical it would be.

I have an (early) 70" 4K TV, not one of the OLED ones, and when I
watch Netflix original stuff on it, people who haven't seen 4K
before always comment on how good it looks. I'm sitting about 8
feet or so away. You do have to look for it to a degree, but it's
very noticeable in certain things (rain/lights always seems to be
one of the things that get people to notice it.) I'm not sure it's
'worth it', but if you're going to buy a new TV anyway, it'd be
pointless not to get a 4K now at this point with the price of them
(IMO.) The TV I have is already less than $1500 at Costco.

Pluto has a 4K channel but I am not really seeing much

Amazon
Fire TV has 4K. (not Fire stick)

Some YouTube content on the Samsung Smart TV App as well.

I had about an hour to kill this afternoon so I
spent it in Costco roaming around...

Some of the pictures on the Samsung TVs that are
UTV or even Beyond UTV are absolutely astonishing.

At the end of the TV section was the DirecTV
rep.  I have DirecTV satellite and I like my high
definition picture and my high-definition home
projector.

All of my TV's in my home were purchased in the
last five to ten years and they're all HD capable.
Most are smart TVs that run apps but the apps don't
ever update and you pretty much get what the TV has
and that's it....

So I decided to get all excited I had a little
money burning a hole in my pocket I thought I would
grab one of these super duper Samsung Ultra
high-definition televisions.  Ok not really but lets
pretend I did....

I told the DirecTV lady when HD first came out it
took the broadcasters a while to start broadcasting
in HD. I asked her for a list of which channels
broadcast in 4k....She gave me the list....

104.....DTV4k

105....cine4k

106....Live4k

Basically....NONE

How much programming on Netflix is in 4k? I am
aware of the extreme bandwidth requirements....

And guaranteed if I got a hacked Amazon Fire
stick it's not going to show me anything in 4k....

What is the point? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Bueller?
