I understand. I hate that gear was thrown a way. We've still got some of that in operation.

Thanks for the offer, but we need the gear to run in 2.3 / 5.9Ghz amateur radio bands easily (which is no problem on the 'unlocked' Ubnt/MT), and I heard that even with the "eng" hack, Canopy doesn't do those well or at all.

Interested in some old Cambium/Canopy FSK stuff?

Ah, too bad. Our amateur radio Wi-Fi group has been doing
well, built out a few sites with donated Ubnt/MT gear, we are
looking for a bit more - especially 5ghz radios - that can be
gotten for just cost of shipping.

It’s gone but it was Powerstations, nanostations, etc.. . All
the stuff we upgraded from N radios. Still have a few of the
Picostations left I think. The really sad throwing out
        session was
the one was $150,000 worth of SkyPilot equipment

Rory, what type of gear are you throwing out?

Interesting video. I've often wondered if we should donate
some of our older gear to a project like this.

This story looks familiar! I've seen and heard
        this story
a dozen times from people at Wispapalooza but in rural
settings. This happening inside a city. I know
        there are
people in Chicago and other cities as well doing this,
however this is a nice documentary.
