Our dump truck is a project truck. Bought it for $1500, blown engine. My son put in a new turbo version off of Ebay for $1500. Then we have spent at least that much on brake parts, air lines, tires etc.
The DMV examiner had never done a test in a truck with a 5+4 speed before. He had never seen split shifting of a brownie before. It is not the easiest truck to drive but has good power, hauls 12 ton of rock and the price was right. And we do not have an “automatic transmission only” restriction on our licenses.
