I apologize a bit for the quality, but TBW has the presentation on their
YouTube. They talked a lot longer than expected, so I burned through my
batteries and had to use my phone to record the last bit.

Not what I heard. Sounds like it'll be best of both worlds. The eNB will be
3GPP compliant, meaning you can use any vendor's UE. And then their UE will
support transparent L2 mode like we're use to with Canopy, ePMP, etc. Sounds
like the best way for them to get operators back from Telrad, Baicells, etc.

It sounded like they are going to gut the protocol and use the strengths of the
wireless layer, so more like a LTE spin, so did not sound like it was going to
be standards compliant if that matters to you.

Fake news?
