For those of us less adventurous, what do you guys recommend for boxes
to do all of this magic for me?
There's a box in place that's supplying supposedly good enough clock,
but there are alarms on the box and I can't get admin access to the
box to know why.
There's another in cold storage, but I fear that technical evolution
is what's passing these guys by and I wouldn't want to invest a bunch
of time into it only to find out it doesn't work either. These both
are CDMA models supporting the upper 800 MHz and the PCS bands (CDMA
bands 0 and 1). My fear is that spectrum refarming has already taken
away or will soon take away the protocol it's using.
I'm looking for T1 and NTP outputs.
Used is fine. Other than working reliably, the next most important
thing to me is an easy interface. You don't go in there often (or
ever), so it's nice to not have to get a manual to figure out how to
do something.

I'm newly in charge of a Metaswitch environment as well.

Yes, and one would think that Metaswitch would have a 10 MHz input.
