The Film and Video Festival showcases foundation-funded productions and the
strategies by which grant-makers use film, video and television productions
to advance their program goals. Submissions may target local, state,
regional, national and international audiences. The committee will give
special consideration to projects that demonstrate innovative strategies for
distribution and outreach, involving uses of, for example, print and
broadcast journalism, Internet Web sites and networking, schools and
libraries, or the meetings and conferences of nonprofit organizations. To
be eligible, projects must have received full or partial funding for either
production or distribution from a private, community, operating or corporate
foundation or a corporate giving program. The Council will not consider
submissions that have been funded solely from public agencies or federal or
state funds. The films and videos must have been completed within the past
five years and must have been broadcast or distributed to the target
audience. All submission forms and tapes must be received by Friday, March
8, 2002.
