Rosetta Stone would like to announce a special opportunity for 2007. Well be offering two subsidized Rosetta Stone software development projects below our development cost for two interested language groups. We intend for this to remove some of the financial barriers for communities with strong language revitalization efforts, and allow them to take advantage of the popular and proven Rosetta Stone language-learning method Is language learning a need in your community? Do you have fluent speakers, translators, and a committed language revitalization program? Do the language learners you wish to reach have computer or internet access? If so, we hope youll contact us for an application or further information. If you feel that this would benefit your community, and that you have the human and financial resources to dedicate to developing Rosetta Stone software in your language, we hope youll consider applying. Several of the priorities used for selection of a participating group will be: (1) an established commitment to language revitalization within your community (2) a sufficient infrastructure to support a project (3) a broad base of support to ensure the effectiveness and success of the software (4) demonstrated financial need (5) a language that is endangered, yet has excellent potential for revitalization through creation of further learning resources (6) availability of qualified language experts willing to serve in the roles of translator and editor If youre interested and these describe your group, please e-mail us and well send you an application form. Application deadline: Jan. 30, 2007 by fax or mail Applying does not indicate any commitment on your part; you would be free to decline acceptance of a project if you were selected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marion Bittinger Senior Project Manager Endangered Language Program Fairfield Language Technologies 135 West Market Street Harrisonburg, VA 22801 [EMAIL PROTECTED] (800) 788-0822 ext.3331 Yahoo!
