This is a revision of the call for submissions. Note mention of
translated work. (That brings to mind a question - how do authors see
their writing as different when in their first language and translated
to a second language (L2) like English, or when written directly in
L2? I am not an author but find I have different turns of phrase when
I write in English or in French (an L2).)    Don

Kenyan Writers – Call for Submissions 

Ishmael Reed Publishing Co. is looking for new (and preferably not
published elsewhere) short stories by Kenyan authors to be published
in January, 2008.  Translated work from any of the Kenyan languages is
particularly welcome.  Please send your short story, accompanied by a
short author biography, to the anthology editor, Mukoma Wa Ngugi, at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject heading, Kenya - new short
fiction.   The submission deadline is July 15th, 2007.   The file
should be attached, in MS Word and not more than 20 pages double spaced.
