[There is some problem with Yahoogroups it seems: I sent this item
twice over the last 24 hours, but it did not get posted. Here's
another try.]
FYI, here is another translator request, for the Manding language
called Jula (French spelling Dioula or sometimes Dyula). Among the
Manding tongues it is very close to Bambara. (Fwd from Mansa-L; I
added the email address at the end of Mr. Gottfried's message)
--------------
I am an attorney in NYC representing an asylum applicant from the
Ivory Coast. Although my client is proficient in French, he feels
most comfortable speaking in Dioula. However I have had difficulty
finding a well-educated, Dioula-English translator. Do you have any
recommendations? Any information that you could provide would be
greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jonathan Gottfried
