On Child online protection, "governments and the private sector have not kept

nations by cutting underwater cables essential for international commerce and
the internet, the chief of the British defence staff, Sir Stuart Peach, has
warned.
On infrastructure, Google announced that it will invest in a new subsea cable
that will connect Singapore to Perth and Sydney in Australia (with a branch to
Jakarta, Indonesia).
The growing volume of electronic waste, including discarded products with a
battery or plug, such as mobile phones, laptops, televisions, refrigerators and
electrical toys, poses a major threat to the environment and human health, the
United Nations warned on Wednesday.

Also, more announcement on the the 2017 Internet Governance Forum sponsored by
the United Nations (UN) which will be held at the UN's European headquarters,
the Palais des Nations in Geneva, from Dec. 18 to 21.
