The ICANN76 Community Forum will be held in Cancún, Mexico at the Cancún
International Convention Center (CICC) Center from 11-16 March 2023.
This meeting will take place as a hybrid event

As usual, we plan to hold the Joint AFRALO-AfrICANN meeting and as we are so
close to the date of meeting, we would like to invite you to urgently submit
topics for this session.
For your information our previous statements have focused on issues like:
Universal Acceptance as a means of accessing the Internet in local
languages,Domain Name System (DNS) Abuse, Universal Acceptance, evolving the
ICANN Multistakeholder model, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), New
gTLD Subsequent Procedures, enhancing ICANN accountability, etc. Please see our

These wide ranges of topics mentioned above are given as examples. Of course,
you may suggest other topics.
As is the norm, the topic that receives the most support will be selected.
Please see our proposed timeline:
· 07 -18 January 2023: Call for topics and drafting team
· 19 January 2023: Announcement of Selected topic & drafting team composition
· 20 – 25 January 2023: First Draft of Statement
· 25 - 31 January 2023: Second Draft of Statement
· 01 February 2023: Statement translation and sending to Staff
Kindly send your suggested topics and volunteer for drafting by Wednesday 18
January 2023, after which the drafting team will be constituted to prepare a
draft statement that will be shared with the rest of the members.
If you would like to join the drafting team, kindly notify us via the mailing
list or to me directly off list.

Vous pouvez bien entendu suggérer d'autres sujets.
Comme c'est la norme, le sujet qui recevra le plus de soutien sera sélectionné.

· 07 - 18 Janvier 2023 : Appel à proposition des sujets/thèmes et de l’équipe
de rédaction;
· 19 Janvier 2023 : annonce du sujet sélectionné et constitution de l'équipe de
rédaction;
· 20 - 25 Janvier 2023 : Premier projet (brouillon) de déclaration;
· 25- 31 Janvier 2023 : deuxième ébauche de déclaration;
· 01 Février 2023 : Traduction de la déclaration et envoi au personnel de
l’ICANN;
Veuillez envoyer vos suggestions de sujets et vous porter volontaire pour la
rédaction d'ici le Mercredi 18 Janvier 2023, après quoi l'équipe de rédaction
sera constituée pour préparer un projet de déclaration qui sera partagé avec le
reste des membres.
Si vous souhaitez rejoindre l'équipe de rédaction, veuillez nous en informer
hors liste.
