Dear All,

This is a polite reminder about the ITU-ATU-ICANN Regional Technical 
Information Online Webinar dedicated to strengthening digital infrastructure in 
Africa. This webinar will be held today, on the 25 February 2026 from 
14:00-15:30 EAT (UTC +3) and has been organized jointly by the ITU Regional 
Office for Africa, the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) and the Internet 
Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
As part of the collaboration under the Coalition for Digital Africa (CDA), ITU 
and ICANN are working closely with African governments to strengthen digital 
infrastructure beyond basic connectivity. This joint webinar will highlight key 
areas of cooperation in Internet governance, core DNS infrastructure, security, 
performance, interconnection, and multilingual access, with a strong emphasis 
on practical, country-level implementation aligned with national digital 
priorities.
The 90-minute session will feature presentations and discussion on the 
following current topics:

  *   Internet Governance and Infrastructure: A practical briefing for 
governments, policymakers, and Parliamentarians.
  *   Strengthening ccTLD Operations: Technical, business, and trust 
foundations supporting the national digital economy.
  *   Strengthening DNS Ecosystem Resilience and Security: Why DNSSEC matters.
  *   Root Server System Infrastructure: Supporting local DNS resilience
  *   The Role of IXPs: Improving network performance and reducing costs.
  *   Universal Acceptance : Enabling the Internet to function in all languages.

The session will also outline next steps, including an invitation for 
interested Member States to submit expressions of interest for collaborative 
projects on the topics discussed. Selected initiatives will be announced later 
this year and advanced for implementation.
