Soprano Randye Jones and pianist Francis Conlon will present a recital on Sunday, June 23rd, at 4:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7415 Buchanan St., Landover Hills, Maryland. The recital is the first of two under "The Art of the Negro Spiritual" research project. The program will include art song settings by: H. T. Burleigh, R. Nathaniel Dett, Hall Johnson, Edward Boatner, Florence Price, Roland Hayes, Undine Smith Moore, John Carter, Betty Jackson King, and Hale Smith. Tickets for the recital are $10.00.
