It's about raising fund for Padang Earthquake Disaster To: Judy Natalia Rudiyanto <[email protected]>, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], Arif Budiman <[email protected]>, Jovita Surjadi <[email protected]>, [email protected] guys, I think u already know about the earthquake that hit my hometown last wednesday. luckily all my family are okay, ga ada yg terluka satu pun. tp yah rumah gua udah ga layak tinggal karena ceiling di kamar lantai 2 collapsed, trus pintu balkon jg jebol & ada dinding di bagian belakang rumah yg jebol jg. so my parents & Derrick moved to my grandma's house since my grandma's house is still in good condition even after the quake. now 3 days after the quake, the situation is getting worse & worse each day.. my beloved hometown udah ga berbentuk lagi, around 500 buildings collapsed & masih ribuan org yg tertimbun di balik bangunan2 itu. listrik mati karena gardu PLN roboh, telp susah krn menara telkom & telkomsel jg roboh, udara mulai ga sehat krn msh byk mayat2 yg blm ke evakuasi, air bersih jg sangat susah & dgn masih byk mayat2 yg tertimbun ditakutkan tanah mulai tercemar & air pun akan ikut2an terkontaminasi dan kemungkinan bs beracun, makanan susah bgt karena sgt sedikit yg jualan...kalo pun ada harganya amit2 (indomie aja Rp.10.000,- / bungkus), bensin jg susah didapat....blm lagi harganya yg udah ampir Rp. 15.000,- (normal nya Rp. 4.500,- toh...), dan yg paling parah....bank & atm blm ada yg beroperasi (kecuali 10 ATM Bank Mandiri yg baru beroperasi td siang) jd orang2 hanya bs bertahan dengan uang cash seadanya. right now there're 12 people in my grandma's house. my family are trying their best to survive from this situation. Sedih banget guys....keluarga gua bertahan utk hidup dengan sejumlah uang cash yg kebetulan ada di tangan mereka. tiap hari yg mereka makan cuma nasi + kecap & indomie. gua udah panggil mereka semua untuk ngungsi di Jkt, setelah gua bujuk2 akhirnya oma & opa gua + dua adek sepupu gua mau terbang ke Jkt hari senin besok. tp bonyok gua ogah ke Jkt karena mereka masih mau ngeberesin rumah + toko + clinic...why? karena cuma itu harta yg kita punya skrg. skrg ini yg punya penghasilan & masih bekerja cuma tinggal gua sendiri. dgn penghasilan seadanya gua harus menghidupi 12 orang tersebut. well....that's why I need to be strong for the sake of my family. maybe you all wonder why did I send this email to you? murni karena gua udah ga tau lg mau cerita ama siapa.....karena yg lg kena musibah bukan cuma keluarga gua tp juga semua teman2 Padang gua. I didn't ask for your money to help me, but I need moral support from you guys. u all that I have right now......kalo ga ke kalian gua bisa curhat ke siapa lagi ya kan ? tapi yah....keluarga gua masih termasuk keluarga yg beruntung kalo dibandingkan keluarga2 lainnya di Padang . msh banyak keluarga lain yg kondisi & situasi nya lebih parah drpd gua....mereka kehilangan keluarga & tempat tinggal. Jd gua udah sangat bersyukur banget setidaknya seluruh keluarga gua masih hidup.... Mungkin u all have watch some news. alot of helps come from government & countries all over the world. but here's the reality...NONE of those yg nyampe ke kampung Cina di Padang. masih banyak temen2 gua yg tertimbun & blm ketemu karena alat2 berat utk evakuasi ga ada yg nyampe ke kampung Cina. makanan & minuman yg dikirim jg ga ada yg nyampe ke kampung Cina. kalo orang Cina yg dateng minta obat2an ke posko2, mereka disuruh bayar! kalo ada orang Cina yg minta tolong rumahnya di evakuasi pake alat2 berat, mereka dimintain duit 100 juta!!! dan yg lebih biadab lagi........perumahan ato toko2 di daerah Cina yg rusak/roboh.....isi2nya dijarah ama mereka orang2 yg biadab. Padang itu udah ga ada bentuknya lagi. semuanya udah hancur & mungkin butuh waktu yg lama banget utk bs kembali seperti semula. tapi kita2 warga Padang yg tinggal di luar kota/overseas, berusaha utk membantu teman2 yg masih ada di Padang & berniat utk membangun kembali kota Padang . so my aunty in USA right now is organising a Fund for Padang . She has an intention to rebuilt our hometown later tp untuk saat ini dia akan fokus untuk memberikan bantuan terlebih dahulu. tentu saja this fund will go directly to Kampung Cina. well I'm not trying to be a racist here, but that's the reality & Kampung Cina really need it. So I need to ask a favor.
